Frank Streightoff is a retired patent attorney with Eli Lilly
and Company. Frank comes from a Butler family; his father, Frank
Hatch Streightoff was an acting professor of economics at Butler in
the 1920s. His mother, Frances Elizabeth Doan Streightoff received
a degree from Butler in 1907.
Frank graduated from the California Institute of Technology with
a B.S. in 1940 then earned an M.S. in botany from Butler in 1956,
followed by an B.S. in business administration (1960) and an M.B.A.
in 1963. He also earned a J.D. in 1970 from the Indiana University
Law School.
In 1999, Frank donated his late first wife Ann's Landolfi cello
to the university. In 2000, Frank and his wife, Bobbye, created a
trust to fund the Streightoff Family Performance Hall, the
principal performance space in Butler's Performing Arts
Complex.
Frank attends alumni events in Texas and participates in local
performing arts events. He and Bobbye have seven children and 12
grandchildren.
