David Whitfield '90

David Whitfield graduated from Butler University in 1990 with a
degree in finance, and is a second generation Butler alumnus
(father Leonard Whitfield graduated in 1956). David was a fullback
on the Butler football team and continues to "carry the ball" for
Butler as an alumnus. The Whitfield family has been instrumental in
growing the South Bend/Mishawaka, Indiana alumni chapter, hosting
annual send off parties and organizing presidential receptions.
David supports the university through the Touchdown Club, the
B-Association Scholarship and the Butler Fund.
Dave is a generous community member as well, coaching his
daughter's basketball team and serving on the Family and Children
Center Board. He has been the assistant running back coach for
Marian High School varsity football team and assistant varsity
girls' basketball coach at Marian.
Prior to starting his own Whitfield Financial Services, he was a
financial consultant for Diversified Financial Group, Heritage
Advisory Group and John Hancock Financial Services. Whitfield
Financial Services offers expertise in personal financial planning,
tax reduction concepts, investments, college savings programs and
total estate planning.
Dave and his wife of 12 years, Beth, have five children: Rachel,
Michael, Jacob, Abby and Zachary.
