What are your primary responsibilities?
I work in direct collaboration with the Senior Director of
Corporate & Foundation Relations to direct and manage Butler
University's efforts to identify, qualify, cultivate, and solicit
local, state and national corporation and foundation prospects for
gifts and grants in support of University funding priorities.
I also serve as the department's grant writer and project
manager in order to successfully manage corporate and foundation
donors/prospect relationships.
Contact me if you are interested in…
Becoming involved with the University as a professional or
corporate partner with the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences
or the College of Business. Also, contact me if you have
ideas for funding of a particular project but are not sure where to
seek needed monetary support. Corporate and Foundation Relations
exists to work with all colleges, faculty, staff, and our
constituents to ensure there is funding support for University
priorities.
Why do you love what you do?
I love what I do because this position allows me to interact
with a wide variety of people and organizations, including Butler
faculty, Butler staff, corporations, and foundations, making each
day interesting. I also love what I do because when our department
receives funding for particular projects, we can actually see
results and how our efforts impact Butler students and campus as a
whole.
What is your favorite Butler memory?
Being present at the NCAA Men's Basketball Final Four in 2010
after we beat Michigan State. Having the game held in our home city
of Indianapolis and knowing that Butler was going to the final game
of the Final Four gives me goose bumps just remembering that moment
and how happy I was. The entire stadium seemed to be cheering for
the Bulldogs. It is a special moment and a feeling that I will
never forget.
