While the total cost of education is used to determine the student's aid eligibility, students are billed for direct educational costs only. Indirect costs are living expenses such as books, transportation and miscellaneous expenses and are estimated to help families plan for the overall cost of a Butler education. These expenses are discretionary and vary with each student.
