So last week after finals ended, one of my goals was to experience Indianapolis at Christmastime. I have always wanted to go to Christmas at the Zoo, but because finals and Christmas always coincide, I have never been able to go. So this year when a good friend of mine told me that a few of them were going on Wednesday night – the night that I finished my finals – I knew that I had to go. Basically, it was magical. My pictures don’t do it justice….but here is a glimpse of our Holiday excursion.
During our trip to the Zoo, we got to see Santa, his reindeer, a dolphin show, and all of the other Zoo necessities that were open. Not all of the animals were out, since you know, it was freezing outside and there was snow on the ground, but we got to see the ones that were inside, and the ones that actually like it to be cold outside.
After spending half of the Christmas season thus far busy with meetings, projects, and studying for tests….Christmas at the Zoo was the best way to get into the Christmas spirit…and fast. After our visit, I was ready to shop, decorate, and to get home so I could enjoy all of our Christmas traditions at home. So, I highly recommend going to the Zoo at this time of the year….its rather magical….and who doesn’t love a little magic at Christmastime?
