Now that I live in Fort Wayne for the summer, I have been trying to find fun things to do around the city…you know, to make the most of my time here. One of the first things that my roommate and I did was go to a TinCaps game. The Fort Wayne TinCaps are a minor league baseball team, and one of my favorite parts of the games is that tickets are cheap ($5-$9) and the field is beautiful (it is brand new). So far we have been going to games every other week…and I love it. I was a baseball stat girl in High School, so deep down I do understand and love baseball, I just haven’t given it much of a chance since then.
Last week, one of our intern friends, Michael, won free tickets to the TinCaps game, so we got to tag along with him…and they were rather legit. Check it out:
This was my third baseball game of the summer … and I think I’m hooked. So for now I’m going to go to every game I possibly can (especially if it’s free!) and then when I go back to school, I’m going to go to more Indianapolis Indians games, just to stay in the baseball spirit…because it is the American way, right?
