Last night was a night that everyone at my house has been waiting for for awhile…our Big/Lil Reveal!  I am one of the people in charge of working with the new members, introducing them to the house, and teaching them about our history and such….as well as organizing events such as our Big/Lil Reveal.  So, in the midst of studying for a test and finishing projects…I was hoping that everything was going to go smoothly.  We try to keep it as much a secret as we can, and after the reveal, each family gets together to give their new members presents and to get to know everyone a little bit more.

At Alpha Phi, we love our families.  I am a proud member of the Sweatpant Fam, there is a Diva Fam, a Cupcake Fam, and there is even a Dino Fam.  So, on Family Night we all get dressed up in our own theme, and try to do something family related.  Luckily, since I am in the Sweatpant Fam….that just entails chilling out in sweats….and taking lots of pictures with the new additions to our family.

The next week for our new members is super exciting….we have Freshman Skits tomorrow, a new member retreat on Saturday, and next week is Initiation Week.  I can’t wait to officially welcome them into our house as initiated members….   So check back next week for more about this week of Greek-tastic-ness!
