About Me:

My name is Steph, and I am a senior Marketing major with a Communication Studies minor. Since this is my last year at Butler, my main goal is to enjoy every moment that I have left, while doing as much as humanly possible. I am a marketing analyst at the Butler Business Accelerator, a Speakers Lab tutor, and a Butler blogger (obviously). I also am an Alpha Phi, the President of the Butler University Student Foundation, a member of Alpha Kappa Psi (a professional business fraternity), and a member of the Butler American Marketing Association. In the small amount of free time that I do have, I love crafting, watching large amounts of television, and enjoying my favorite comfort foods, like sweet tea.

And the Countdown Begins….

Today is the first day back to school after Thanksgiving Break.  So, naturally, today is a struggle.  I’ve been done with classes for hours already, so my day is looking up, but I have so much to do that I will be hard at work on my computer for the rest of eternity.

Ok….that was a serious exaggeration….but do you blame me?  I have 2.5 weeks left in the semester, but I have to start preparing for 4 finals, write 2 papers that will be at least a combined 20 pages in length (don’t worry…one is a group paper…and I’m being dramatic), and put together/perfect 2 presentations.  And fortunately, in addition to this, I get to do all kinds of things to finish off the year with all my clubs…such as planning things and going to tons of meetings/club elections/Christmas parties.

Really, I am excited to be back at school…don’t let my previous paragraph fool you…and luckily I have adjusted rather quickly to being back.  That is my least favorite thing about each break….coming back.  Once you get used to being at home and hanging out with your family, it is time to go back to school….where you will most likely get a rude awakening.  The last day of each break for me is usually long and filled with entirely too much stuff.  Between doing normal Sunday activities (going to church and having lunch with my family), packing up everything, driving back, and unpacking….it is usually rather intense.  And somehow, in addition to doing that yesterday, I edited a paper, wrote part of another paper, and did other homework as well.  Yeah….I was proud of myself.  And it was the perfect way to get back in the groove of school again…because by the end of the night, it felt like any other Sunday night where I am finishing up things that are due the next morning, and trying to make my room not look like a tornado tore through it.

But, I can now officially start counting down the days until Christmas Break….so only 9 more days of class….and 16 more days until I have no homework, for a whole month!  Thank you, Butler, for the best Christmas present ever!

I had the joy of seeing this beautiful sight over break....be sure to check back soon for a blog about what it exactly is....besides my favorite part of Christmas time at home...
