today’s the day!

Have you applied to Butler yet? Today is the final deadline for applying to Butler for the fall! I still can’t believe how fast we got to this date. At this point, Butler University has received over 9,000 applications! Can you believe that?! I graduated from Butler in 2006, and my mind is still blown away by that number. We have had a great, albeit crazy year, and I hope the greatness continues. :) Our overall profile has increased, and I think many students have a greater idea of who Butler is, and I couldn’t be happier about that. It’s so great to see my alma mater doing so well!

Amidst the crazy ice storm and blizzard the midwest was hit with, we hosted an event for admitted students on Feb. 5th called Butler Bound. Last year, this event was snowed out, and I had NO idea how everything would turn out. Thankfully, everything went really well! However, the weather was absolutely crazy. I ended up having to stay in Indy that night, as it snowed about 4 or 5 inches that Saturday! I’m just glad our families braved it out and tromped around campus anyway. There were a lot of great presentations and sessions to attend, so I hope everyone enjoyed their visit, regardless of weather.

Now we look towards the financial aid season, and the rush of students coming back to campus for a last visit before deciding. This time period gets a little crazy, both on the admission side and for the students. As a regional rep for Butler in Chicago, I try to offer the chance for my students to sit with me and chat about questions they might have and concerns. It’s a huge decision, and we as admission counselors want to make sure we can help in any way or answer any questions our students might have. That’s what we are here for, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch with that last minute question!

I hope all is well for everyone reading this. As always, please contact me with questions!
