Winter Break Obsessions

So over Winter break I haven’t been doing much but working and watching a lot of TV shows. My roommate keeps getting me addicted to different shows and it is really bad, because that’s all I do now. Here are the three latest shows that I can not stop watching!

#1. Parks and Recreation
This show is based in Indiana and is about a local parks department and the crazy things they go through. At first I was not super interested in it, but now it just keeps getting funnier and funnier. I finally caught up to where they are currently. I can not wait until new episodes air!

#2. Walking Dead
Every time the Walking Dead is on TV my Twitter feed blows up. A lot of people I know watch it so I thought I would start. I’m not really into the whole zombie thing but I thought I would give it a try with this show. Now I am officially addicted to this show. It is pretty intense but I like it a lot. I have not caught up with this show yet. I am dog sitting right now and watching this show in a house by yourself kind of freaks me out.

#3. Greek
Greek is an old show, but my roommate has got me addicted to this as well. I like this show because I can relate to it! It reminds me a lot of Greek life at Butler to a certain extent. We are not as crazy as them, but some of the things are what I love about Greek life! This show has six seasons so it may take me a while to finish it!

Obviously when I get back to school it will take me longer to finish shows considering I will have to be studying and doing other things besides watching TV, but until then I will try and watch as much as possible!

The Amazing Race

Ever since my mom’s friend has gotten me addicted to watching the show The Amazing Race I cannot stop watching. The Amazing Race is a show on CBS that airs every Sunday at 8 PM. It is a race around the world where teams of 2 compete against others to win $1000000. Along the way teams get eliminated throughout the race, but sometimes there are parts of the race where no one gets eliminated it just depends. Through out the show you must do different challenges pertaining to the culture or country where you are!

At some point I want to at least apply for the race. My only problem is that I can get really competitive, so my goal would definitely be to find someone who is just as competitive as me. Some times that is dangerous though because people who are both equally competitive can start to irritate each other!

I was going to show the top five places I want to go, but I thought that would be too much so I am going to the top three places I would want to go to if I were on the race! No particular order!

1) Budapest, Hungary
I am going to be honest one of my reasons is just because how awesome the name Budapest is. I also have many other reasons! The city looks amazing on pictures! They have so many beautiful buildings and on top of that currently Budapest has over 837 monuments! They also are said to have amazing spas, so that is just a cherry on top… not that I would be going to a spa if on the race!

2) Machu Picchu, Peru
Being it is one of the seven wonders of the world I think it would be amazing to go there. It seems so mysterious yet so beautiful! I also think it would be so gorgeous just to be able to even look around the area outside of Machu Picchu as well. I can only imagine how beautiful Peru would be!

3) Cordoba, Spain
Don’t ask me why I know all these random places. I do pinterest way to often and also have always wanted to go to Spain! The buildings here look amazing, and they have so many festivals and awesome things to do! I feel like being able to go through any of the above places would be amazing on a race!

I Will Admit

Yes, I will admit I watch some pretty awful shows. Some of the shows I watch are good while others are just down right sometimes embarrassing to even say I watch. Here’s my weekly schedule of shows.

Sunday: The Amazing Race, The Real Housewives of Atlanta
Monday: Pretty Little Liars, The Bachelor
Tuesday: -
Wednesday: Revenge, Battle of the Exes, Survivor, Modern Family
Thursday: Jersey Shore, The Real Housewives of Orange County
Friday: Shark Tank, Say Yes to the Dress
Saturday: Saturday Night Live

I’m not going to lie I never watch the shows on the day they air. I usually have a lot of homework to do, so I watch whatever shows I can on hulu. I understand how awful the taste of my shows are. A lot of the shows that I used to watch stopped. I used to watch Entourage and LOST, but their shows are done. So now I have succumbed to really bad TV. Although not all those shows are terrible!

It’s good being in a sorority and also living in an all girl’s dorm because you can probably find someone who watches the same shows as you. When this happens usually people get together and bring food and watch the shows together! It’s pretty much an excuse just to avoid homework.

Please if you decide to watch any of these shows minus a couple that are actually good, do not say I didn’t warn you of how ridiculous they may be!
