This past weekend was pretty exciting to say the least. On Friday my sister and her husband had their first child! Sophia Kumiko was born at 441 PM, and she is the most precious girl I have ever seen. Everyone in our family is so excited, and now I can say that I have 2 nieces and 2 nephews!
After seeing Sophia at the hospital on Friday night I rushed to campus to see my sorority sisters! It was one of our sisters 22nd birthday. We had a ton of fun and even sang to Living on a Prayer, so I guess it doesn’t get much better than that. I also learned that iPhone’s can last in the snow for over 4 hours… no worries everyone it wasn’t my phone just my best friend’s phone On top of all that I FINALLY GOT TO SEE MY BIG SIS. She was gone in Spain last semester so seeing her was awesome.
I was pretty much excited for everyday of this weekend, but all for different reasons. Saturday I was excited because it was the first basketball game I have been to in a very long time! With winter break and recruitment I missed a good 2-3 games, which is a lot for me. We really needed a win in the Big East on Saturday, and we got it in overtime. On top of that I gave Trip, our mascot, his bone at the beginning of the game. I’m so proud that he doesn’t drop his bone anymore!
All in all it was a pretty good weekend. I miss not living on campus anymore, but being able to go back on the weekends isn’t too shabby. Expect a post about me complaining about this. Until then have a great Monday!
