Meet The Newest Members Of My Family!

I had three new people to my family this past week! No my sister in law did not have triplets, so let me explain!

On February 14th at 1236 AM my nephew was born! He’s so cute! As I said in my previous blog his name is Stanley Kenji, I think though I’m going to call him by his middle name Kenji because it sounds like he’s a pretty cool guy instead of the Stan the man like my brother insists on calling him. Either way I love him so much already.

My nephew at the hospital!

Last night Pi Phi was finally able to do big little reveal. This is the night where we get to tell new member who their big is! I have two littles and of course to continue on in tradition they are both half Asian! My big is half Asian and I’m half Asian so we make one full white person and one full Asian person and now my littles are the same! I’m so happy I was able finally to tell them. I love big little reveal because I think our ceremony is so awesome! I can’t find pictures right now but the bigs line up on the steps of the bell tower and light a candle, and the littles are behind us and we turn around and do reveal! It’s really pretty to look up the bell tower with all these candles!

All the gifts for my two littles! So much crafting. I'm in the Rockstar family which is the reason for the guitars!

Asian pose with my littles Lindsay and Miranda!

I can’t wait to show more pictures in the future of my littles and my baby nephew! This was an awesome end to last week and beginning of this week!

Today’s the Day!

At 335 this morning by brother texted me they were on the way to the hospital which means only one thing, MY NEPHEW IS COMING! His due date was 3 days ago so I feel like it’s about time!

My brother and his wife have two other kids, so I’ve been an aunt for a while. I have a nephew and a niece, Sam and Olivia, but I’m excited for the newest edition. If they didn’t change his name last minute I’m pretty sure his name is going to be Stanley Kenji Cessna. All of the kids have Japanese middle names and typically their first name is a family name. This may sound really bad, but I’m hoping that Stanley looks more Asian than Sam or Olivia. My niece and nephew look completely white. They have really light colored hair and blue eyes.

My niece!

I was the third child and ended up looking the most Asian out of my siblings so maybe that will happen to Stanley! Either way I am still excited whether he looks Asian or not. It’s always fun to have a new baby around. Sam and Olivia are quite the handful, but I’m sure they will help with Stanley a lot!

I don't know if you can tell here, but I look the most Asian between my siblings!

Adventures With A Four Year Old

This past Saturday I got to do something really awesome with my nephew! My nephew, Sam, is four and attends preschool at the Children’s Museum. On Saturday they allowed families to tour their collections, which are not out on the floor because there is not enough room for them.

Random fact, but if you didn’t know the Indianapolis Children Museum has the largest collection in the nation. A lot of their collection has many different things, and depending on what they plan on showing in the museum they put different things out at different times.

Some items that are placed in the collection are very old items that people remember from childhood, while other items are items that are more movie related items. Although the preschoolers were excited I think the grownups were more excited than the kids.

One of the many Star Wars items they had.

My nephew on the other hand just wanted to take five billion pictures, but most of his pictures were blurry so I had to take over. Even though you may not be able to see the collections, what the children museum has out currently is awesome. Especially with all the people here for the Super Bowl I hope that people really take the time to see the city of Indianapolis. We may be known for our sports, but we have pretty awesome museums that are not even that expensive!
