Right before finals week it seems like everyone starts to give you the most ridiculous work ever. I feel like I have a lot, but then when I say it aloud to myself it doesn’t seem that bad. I just have a lot of busy work to do! I’m going to use you to show myself what I have to do!

To you that may seem like a lot, but to me it doesn’t seem that bad. I really only have 2 exams, the rest are just papers. I love writing papers more than exams, because I know I am definitely a better writer than exam taker. I hate exams. So if I don’t blog in the next couple days I’m not dead I’m just trying to make it through my first year of college without my gpa dropping dramatically from the 3.5 that I already have. Wish me luck!
This week it feels like everything just got piled on in my classes! This past weekend my sister got married, so I did not have that much time to be able to do a lot of homework over the weekend. The wedding was on a gorgeous day looking over Lake Michigan! Here are some pictures from the wedding, I will probably post more later!
The reception area
Awesome sunset from my sister's wedding!
The wedding was awesome and I am so happy for my sister, but now it’s all back to reality! This week I have so much to do and it is only a three day week! Let me break it down to you what I have to do within this week.
Monday: 2-4 page paper due for Exploratory/Major Fair Paper due
Read 25 pages for class discussion
Tuesday: Wall Street Journal worth 50 points due for Freshmen Business
Freshmen Business Exam worth 100 points
Freshmen Year Seminar midterm
Wednesday: Sex Gender Sexuality in Modern Japan midterm
It does not seem like that much, but it just can be overwhelming. In reality, it is really just Tuesday I am worried about. I know it really is not that much I just have the slightest case of procrastination and with Fall Break being so close it can be really difficult to focus at times. Wish me luck! I’m sure everything will be fine!
Sickness update: Not too bad now. Not coughing as much, but I could not yell at the wedding. I think I lost my voice almost, and I’m out of cough drops… problem.
Here’s a video for you guys. You may hate this song, because it is played so much, but it’s dubstep so it’s pretty much awesome.
In 24 hours I take my first college exam. I am freaking out. Exams in college count for way more of your grade than they do in high school, and that scares me. Not only that this test is over the Hindu religion with words that I cannot even pronounce. If you know me around campus, and do not see me studying please yell at me!
I have started to realize where are good places for me to study and where are bad places. I don’t understand how anyone could study in their room. I cannot focus whatsoever in my room. There are way too many distractions. Honestly what has helped me is going to Jordan Hall!
Jordan Hall usually has a lot of classrooms that stay unlocked for students to study in. I like it better than Irwin because I feel like I can spread things out more and really get more accomplished. Even though I don’t really like Irwin, I love the science library that is stuck between Holcomb and the Pharmacy building!
I have my own little special hidden place there, but last time it was taken so obviously not that hidden anymore. I am able to focus so well in that library because barely anyone talks. You could possibly hear a pin drop in their. Also if I am struggling to focus I go to HRC and run. Even though I hate running, it usually helps me focus on my homework!
The track at the HRC!
Good luck to everyone taking exams this week. If my exam goes well you may hear about it on here, but if it is not so hot… well let’s just ignore that!
And I know this is old, but can we please give Brad Stevens a shout out for making Butler proud with his dance moves? I know it’s college football season, but I can’t help but get a little excited about college basketball.
