I’m so glad Butler is so close to the city and big venues. It makes it so much easier to be able to attend concerts and different events going around in the city! A couple weeks ago at Clowes, The Fray had a concert! It was so awesome. I had really good tickets so I was so pumped! They were so good live, and it was such a good setting.
Isaac, the singer for The Fray!
Then last night I got to see Tyga, Kelly Rowland, T-Pain, and Chris Brown with my best friend Nicole! I was so thankful because my best friend’s family gave me these tickets and we were second row! It was such a fun concert. I felt bad for people who had to sit in the lawn because it was raining so hard, and on top of that it was cold, so I was glad to be under the covering. I have a lot of pictures but I will just show one of each artist!
Opening act, Tyga, so good!
Second Act, Kelly Rowland, she brought back old school songs! I loved it!
T-Pain! We learned he can actually dance!
I never realized how attractive Chris Brown is... oh and he's a good dancer
Basically it was so amazing, and I wish every person could have experienced the absolute craziness I experienced and not only that, but GROWN MEN crying over Chris Brown. I can’t wait until my next concert in two weekends, Mac Miller, I can only expect great things.
One last thing, it’s my brother’s birthday. He’s really old, 31! Just kidding. Hope he has a good one!
In the coming month I have a lot going on! I am so excited for all of it though, so I want to share with you what I have planned! Today I get to see The Fray at Clowes! I really hope they play all of my favorite songs, which are not their extremely popular ones, so I hope they just play their album, but if not it should still be awesome! Then tomorrow I have my get real day for business where we do a lot of team bonding with our business team, and get to do the high ropes course! It’s all day, so I can only imagine how exhausted I might be at the end of the day. I am also going to Wabash tomorrow night to visit my best friend, Hank, and then watch him play baseball on Sunday morning! He’s been playing really well so I am so excited to be able to cheer him on! I guess you could say this weekend is quite eventful!
This gives an idea on how close colleges are to Butler! It's only about an hour to Purdue and Wabash!
I am kind of mad about this picture because they are showing IUPUI’s mascot, the jaguar, instead of the awesome bulldog.
On September 25th, I get to go to Chris Brown at Verizon! My best friend, Nicole, is coming with me. My favorite family in the world gave us the tickets and so I am really thankful! I just got the tickets from them yesterday! It’s nice still living so close to the city because all the concert venues are so close!
Our Chris Brown tickets!
Not only do I get to see Chris Brown that weekend, but my best friend, Sara, from Purdue is coming up to see me! Even though I am really excited about the next couple weeks in September, I really can’t wait until October starts because there is so much going on. I will probably write another blog that is about getting pumped because in October it is my sister’s wedding, Mac Miller concert at the Old National Center, Purdue to go see friends, homecoming, and Fall Break. I am getting so excited!
I can’t stop listening to this! It gets me so pumped for the weekend!
College freshmen would always come back for Homecoming at my school or randomly during my senior year, and I never really believed anything they told me. They always said how much studying is involved and how getting distracted is so much easier. I do not know why I did not believe them because now I understand and it’s only been 2 or 3 weeks in school.
First of all, there is so much READING. I think majority of my time is spent reading for a class. It is never short reading either. I read anywhere from 20 to 40 pages for each class. The different thing about college though is that since you have such a variety of classes to pick from most of your reading is enjoyable. I do not mind reading any of the books I have to read, because they all pertain to something I am interested in!
My books, it may not seem like a lot, but most of them have small print!!
The people that came to my high school were also right about getting easily distracted. I am rather social. Never mind who am I kidding I am EXTREMELY social. I love meeting new people and talking to others. Sometimes it can be difficult to stay focused. People may come in and out of your room, fraternities and sororities might doing an event, which by the way I have a frat and sorority right outside my window and currently they are bouncing on trampolines to blaring music. It is all fun and awesome, but I have realized that studying in my room is not always the best idea! Instead, I usually study in the basement of Schwitzer, a classroom in Jordan Hall or Galluhue, or the library. I get so much more work done in those places than my room!
This is the house of the sorority that is across from my room that is currently bouncing on trampolines!
Last but not least I never really took into consideration how awesome all the older kids said college was. There is no way of describing how awesome college is you just have to go! Seriously, I am only in my 2nd or 3rd week of school and I am already saying this. Just wait in a couple weeks I am sure that things can only get better.
I decided that at the end of every post now I will share something with you that I am really excited about. Right now I am really excited about next Friday! The Fray is coming to Clowes and I get to go! To get everyone excited here’s The Fray!
