Officially a Pi Beta Phi

This past weekend was my initiation at my sorority! We initiated 43 new members including me. It was so interesting to finally see what we would go through. Although I cannot tell you what happened, because much of it is just for the sorority. I will tell you that I am blessed to be part of such an amazing group of girls!

Since I can’t tell you what happened in initiation I will tell you all the amazing things I received. During initiation week you get a Guardian Angel, which it’s another sister in the house who isn’t your big sister! They give you clues and you try to guess who it is. I failed at guessing who it was. Kim was my GA and gave me awesome gifts, but her best was the last gift she gave to me, which is the awesome canvas below!

My last gift from my guardian angel!

Not only did I receive gifts from my Guardian Angel, but I got more gifts from my big sister, Karissa. She got me so much stuff through out the week, and I’m so glad she’s my big! Going through initiation week is almost like one big party the whole week. You keep getting present after present and then in the end you get what you have been waiting for. On initiation day you get lavaliered, which is a necklace with your sorority letters, and you also get your pin, which for Pi Phi is an arrow spike. Getting these two things means a lot, and watching other girls getting them last week from the other sororities made me so anxious!

My lavalier! Pi Beta Phi!

I’m so glad that I am officially a sister and member of Pi Beta Phi. I’m also so happy for all the girls who have gone through initiation. There is still one more sorority left on campus that hasn’t done initiation, but everyone else has so it’s so exciting!

Hey! That’s awesome! I’m not in a sorority at the moment but I have two Pi Phi friends that are going through initiation this week and their supposed to be initiated this weekend at Mississippi State. They keep bringing back so many gifts.

Yeah congrats! I will always remember my intiation, which I’m sure will be the same for you. What family did you join? Is the bunny family still around?
