AMC’s new series, The Walking Dead is, quite simply, OFF DA HOOOOK.
I know people are tired of the whole “zombie apocalypse” thing. Between a ton of movies coming out in recent memory with zombies (Shaun of the Dead, Zombieland, others I can’t think of) and video games (Left 4 Dead 1 and 2, Red Dead Redemption’s zombie downloadable content, and even more others I can’t think of), zombies have sort of become trendy.
Congratulations, zombies. You’re now as popular as Katy Perry, Ke$ha, Sarah Palin, and Japanese animation.
But. Anyway. The Walking Dead. It’s just so good. The director of Shawshank Redemption and Green Mile, Frank Darabont, is part of the group of directors that participate in each episode. So you know it’s awesome. The show is about zombies, sure, but like any good source of entertainment, the apocalypse is not the only conflict. There’s affairs, rednecks, domestic violence, death, and a lot of yelling. I wish I could explain more to you, but nothing will do the show justice!!
If you like action, gore, zombies, drama, and that one brother from Boondock Saints, then you’ll love this show. Right now is a great time to watch it because season one just wrapped up with only 6 episodes, and season two will be on its way soon.
Warning: a lot of people die in it. Just fyi.
