The Presenter

I’ve been listening to a lot of Jackson Browne too and he should have written an album called The Presenter instead of The Pretender for this week. BECAUSE I HAD FOUR PRESENTATIONS.

Pause–I’m really impressed that I just found the album The Pretender on Youtube (linked above).

On Monday I had a group presentation for my law class on insurance coverage of smoking cessation productions. It was in front of the entire pharmacy class so it was kind of intimidating. But I wore my power blazer so it was okay. (Ladies, everyone needs a power blazer–it’s a Leslie Knope from Parks and Rec thing.)

Then Wednesday I had a big case presentation on a geriatrics patient. I thought I was super prepared for it except I got asked some kind of odd ball questions that I didn’t think were really pertinent in the patient. IN MY HUMBLE OPINION.

Thursday I did a presentation for my substance abuse class on peyote. My fourth presentation was supposed to be an article in the news for the same class but it got pushed to next week! Whew. I feel like I haven’t even started studying for clusters!

I’m studying for finals and writing a paper and we can just leave it at that. But before clusters, I got a chance to visit my friend’s family farm on the south side and we had a wonderful time!

WEEEEE

We let the guys build a bonfire. … It was huge.

Group photo with a timed camera and a flash in PITCH BLACK DARKNESS! Turned out pretty well though.

And if fire and friendship wasn’t enough for you… THE PARKS AND REC CAST WAS IN INDIANAPOLIS THIS WEEK.

Butler tried tweeting them from all of our coolest accounts (I TRIED TOO AND I’M THE COOLEST) but they only had a few hours in town to get the scene done. I would have died to be in the presence of Adam Scott. THAT HAIR.

I’m definitely hoping to wind down after next Thursday (my last final!) and partake in some Indianapolis fun times. I hear talk of a visit to Howl at the Moon and I’m also hoping to visit my favorite spot in Broad Ripple sometime before the holidays. But I’m not telling you where it is! Because it’s a secret. If I go there I’ll spill the beans and post pictures. Only ‘cuz I like yooou.

The only other pop culture I subscribe to!

DOWNTON ABBEY AND PARKS AND REC.

No but seriously. If you try to talk to me about Breaking Bad (that’s popular right?), Game of Thrones (are these things only popular to a certain sect of people and aren’t actually popular?), anything reality TV, The Office, Modern Family, uhm… right, anything not Downton Abbey or Parks and Rec, I’m clueless. Unless they’re made into gifs and put on Tumblr. Then I might know what they are. Like I can give you a synopsis of Sherlock and Supernatural because I’ve seen so many graphics made out of those shows.

But anyway, Downton Abbey season 3 just premiered in the UK this past weekend and I am dying because everyone streamed it online except me because I had cluster exams this week. Tumblr was absolutely crawling with episode spoilers Monday morning and now I know a bunch of things I wish I didn’t.
