I know at this point in the semester things really start to get hectic…
Wait, what am I saying? It’s only been four days since spring break! Argh, let me finish my thought anyway.
My point is, I started off this semester feeling super overwhelmed and you would think as the semester went on, I would cross things off of my to-do list and start to feel a little better. Even in the face of the last semester scramble.
NAH. THINGS ARE SCRAMBLIN’.
I have a sticky note of death on this computer that has all of my projects lined up and while I’m knocking out two big ones in the next 10 days, it doesn’t make me feel better. I have a quiz in between them and another assignment due. Oh and a presentation on Tuesday I kind of forgot about until about a minute ago.
One second I’m going to crawl under my desk and pretend like nobody can find me.
So Friday is yet another work day and I’m going to put the pedal to the metal in order to fully enjoy the Butler game Saturday. FOR THE DAAAWGS!
What a great game! I got to watch on campus in the Reilly Room with students, professors, alumni, and folks from the neighborhood! And there were free snacks so you know I was all about those. It was so much fun shouting and clapping with all the other fans like we were actually there! And everyone tolerated how, uh, inappropriately competitive I get as an audience member.
ANOTHER ACTION SHOT!
We picked up some groceries and the guy at the counter had the audacity to be wearing a Duke sweatshirt. I glowered! We sparred with words. Then fists. I won. It was the greatest Butler vs Duke rematch of all time. (Okay not really but we had a good laugh.)
Here’s to another win on Saturday against Marquette! Grrrrr! (That’s my threatening bulldog growl.)
I CAN’T TURN OFF CAPS LOCK THIS IS TOO EXCITING
BUTLER BULLDOGS TAKE ON BUCKNELL I DON’T KNOW THEIR MASCOT TOMORROW!!
and I had a class canceled and another delayed in order to watch.
It’s so big that Rotnei Clarke got in Cosmo! Is it a little disturbing a handful of editors are salivating over Mr. Clarke in some huddled office? Maybe. But at least someone’s talking about Butler. I swear, every year it’s “Big Ten this, anyone-but-Butler that.” WE ARE HERE TO STAY PEOPLE.
I’m bringing my vuvuzela to campus tomorrow.
only like two people will get this and I'm okay with that.
What a devastating time to be a Bulldog!
We don’t have cable (I’ve said this about a million times), but luckily ESPN streams all of their channels for free on Xbox Live, so I was able to watch the game. Really rough stuff. I think we can all safely say we lost it the moment Ron did–a sad end that shouldn’t shadow an absolutely stellar career.
It’s rough to see the season end like this, but there’s always next year. Not that that helps right now since I don’t have much of a reason to watch the NCAA tournament, and that’s the only reason I like the month of March (besides spring break?). sigh.
I still love our team and I can’t wait to welcome them home!
Until then, if you need me, I’ll be sobbing over my Blue II plush.
GO BULLDOGS!! forever.
