The minute we heard about Springsteen’s new album, Wrecking Ball, it was imperative to us to pre-order it. Something about throwing money at the E Street band made us think we’d get the album faster. I don’t know.

We pre-ordered from Amazon, and I remember asking myself, “how does this work? will they ship it to us to get here on the release date? or simply ship it on the day of release?” I remember getting the 7th Harry Potter book on the day of its release, so we figured, hey, why not? We could order Wrecking Ball and some other book and not have to pay shipping. Wahoo!

Turns out, the freakin’ album won’t get here until Saturday even though it came out today! WHY WHY WHY. heartbroken. I refuse to listen to it until I’ve got the album in my hands. It just doesn’t feel right otherwise.
