It’s the weather! Both Christmas and New Year’s Eve are gone (and yes, I realized it snowed here in Indy last week), but it’s averaged anywhere between 40-50 degrees for the past … few months, at least, and I do not live in the Midwest to be deprived of snow. I want to make that clear, weather. I want SEASONS.
Maybe it wasn’t just the weather. Maybe it was because Marsh made us put up Christmas lights in the pharmacy before Halloween. And the horrible experience that is Christmas shopping. Erroneously, we went to the mall to see a movie on Black Friday, which means we should have been feeling the Christmas shopping spirit through association. Instead, it killed our spirit and dragged it behind a chariot. (I’m looking at you, Hector from Troy.)
I had no spirit of giving this year. I just wanted to watch MST3K’s Santa Claus and drink eggnog and pretend like it was snowing. Sigh.
On the bright side, Curtis and I were able to go home to Cincinnati and see our families. All of them. We went to 5 different locations for festivities. Needless to say, I did not have time to catch any of A Christmas Story.
We did send Christmas cards though! This is one of many versions. The one we actually sent was cropped better, I swear. Also it’s really hard to take a self-timed photo without a tripod or anything. I think we balanced the camera on a DVD rack for this one.

Merry belated Christmas!

Such a cute photo of the two of you!
