I knew this would happen.

I work at a pharmacy, as you probably know. There are a lot of sick people who visit the pharmacy, and I realize this. It’s why the skin on my hands are like hide of a gila monster from using so much hand sanitizer. And I made it all the way until January 12th without getting sick.

I’m not in the full throes of it. Just the sore throat and general fatigue. Nothing I can do right now but get sleep and drink tea. I did have a customer come into the pharmacy this week saying she was experiencing the tell-tale signs of an oncoming cold/flu–sore throat, aches and pains, that sort of thing. She had me in the over the counter aisle for almost ten minutes (and we were busy!) just trying to get me to recommend something for her to take.

Lady, if you’re not having symptoms, there’s nothing you can do! No miracle cold drugs. I do kinda/sorta believe in Zicam and Vitamin C, but I think the best thing you can do for a cold is take medicine for your symptoms and rest. Which I will not be doing a lot of this weekend because I will be busy!
