The tournament’s been over for over a week now, but I still have pictures to post. Deal with it!
I bought a vuvuzela just for the tournament.
I was really worried about taking it to Hinkle Fieldhouse for the viewing party. I thought that security would take it away or the people in front of me would get mad. NEITHER HAPPENED. The people in front of me were Butler alumni and the guy directly in front of me there said he loved it.
It’s nice to see some love for the vuvuzela.
Right! So! The Final Four was such a great game. I was so happy to be a part of the Butler family at Hinkle and watch a hard earned win. Here’s my bulldog face to prove it.
It was a really good run in the tournament this year. Campus is always buzzing, even with the team not coming back to Indy for the final games. I saw at least a dozen news vans on campus! One morning, there were three parked outside of Hinkle as I was walking back from class, and I saw a guy in sweats with a huge Starbucks drink booking it into the building. I squinted and realized Brad Stevens had dodged three bullets. Go Brad go!
I always get sad when the tournament is over. There’s this kind of dullness that takes over as we all realize we’ve been ignoring everything but basketball for three weeks. Sigh!
As an aside, I almost ran over Shelvin Mack in the parking lot of the Apartment Village last week. Sorry Shelvin.
