The McDonald’s on 52nd and Keystone has $1.99 Happy Meals all day Thursday-Saturday. Today we didn’t get one whole happy meal though (okay I admit it, we all get two of them–but we get apple dippers instead of fries for one of them!) because we were foolish and they handed us a random bag that we assumed was the 6th happy meal. Anyway. That aside.

Let’s critique the toys.

They’re doing Littlest Pet Shop for girls and … Baby Justice League or something for boys. Last week I got a rockin’ sheepies bobblehead. This week we got creepy baby bird bobble heads. Don’t they know baby birds aren’t cute?!

Okay so. As usual, boy toys win. We got Robin riding a motorcycle that shoots missiles, and 2 Batmans (not Batmen) that have wings that shoot out when you push his chest. Last week we got …Manta Ray or something. His eyes light up red. I distinctly remember when the Butler v. Wisconsin team got close, we all grabbed our Manta Rays and pointed them at the TV. Bad juju for Wisconsin. It worked.

Thank you Manta Ray. Or Man Ray from Spongebob. whichever. I’m not concerned because on Happy Meal Thursday you can misname superheroes.
