Adventures of a Confused College Kid

Happy Wednesday everyone. The other day one of my friends from back home texted me telling me he started a blog. Naturally I typed in the URL and promptly began reading, and I quickly discovered it is too hilarious not to share.

That's him. What a fun human.

That’s him. What a fun human.

In high school, my friend Brendan was really funny and always getting into particularly strange and awkward situations. Situations that I’ve never heard of anyone ever encountering before; like stuff from movies. Well, much to my satisfaction, Brendan still regularly finds himself in these situations and now blogs about it. (Click that link to see it!) He even has little stick figure illustrations to accompany all of his funny tales. My favorites so far are “Physics and Uranus” and “A Coffee to the Butt,” but “Off the Heezy” is a close contender.

Brendan is a wonderfully hilarious human, and I am so glad we can be invited into his world through his quirky stories. If you ever think something weird and slightly uncomfortable has happened to you, chances are Brendan’s experienced something weirder. Check it out man, you won’t be disappointed.

Have a great week and thanks for reading :)

Jamie Woodham

Happy Friday everyone! Since everyone needs a good laugh at the end of a long week, here’s a fabulous Twitter account to follow.

I’ve blogged about my favorite Twitter accounts here on my summer blog, and since then I have discovered the Twitter feed of Jamie Woodham. I stumbled across this hilarious corner of the Internet when my friend Katie showed me a funny tweet of his that I would enjoy. After that I followed him, and since then he consistently cracks me up.

His Twitter bio reads, “Writer. Comedian. Human Bean. I’m basically Cory Matthews, except I would have never kissed that ski lodge girl behind Topanga’s back. 2Pac without a nose ring.” I tried Googling this man and found no solid information about him, so I’m not really sure who he is. All I know is that he’s hilarious and I Internet-love him. Here are a few of my faves:

Feel free to give him a follow here if he tickles your funny bone.

Also, shout out to my friend Molly for being a loyal reader and wonderful person all around. Give her a follow on Twitter too if you feel so inclined.

Have a great weekend, and thanks for reading :)

Hipster Mermaid

Happy day everyone! The other day I decided to make it my mission to get one of my favorite Twitter accounts to follow me (because I am a very busy girl with a lot of really important things to do, and I understand the importance of priorities.) Said Twitter account is @hipstermermaid.

I blogged about this account on my summer blog, which can be seen here. Hipster mermaid is an account run by a man by the name of Braden Graeber. His Twitter bio says he’s from Los Angeles, and he “writes, builds and overthinks.” Other than that, I don’t know this dude’s story, or who he is. All I know is that he is hilarious and everything he tweets is perfect. He makes sarcastically accurate commentary on society and pop culture, and also frequently tweets about hummus. Classic combo!

He favorited one of my tweets once, and I got way more excited that I should have, so now I’ve made it my mission to get him to follow me. Totally normal. Anyhow, check out his account and give him a follow because he’s hilarious and I love him.

New Blog?!

Happy day everyone! Since it is now officially summer, my blogging duties for Butler University get a little breaky-break. Since this blog is through the Office of Admissions, and there is no school happening right now (quite obviously), my blogging duties are on hold until school starts up again. I know what you’re thinking…”WHAT? She’s done blogging for the whole summer?! How will I ever carry on without Bekah’s wit and insight three times a week?! Ohhh the humanity!!!!” Well, don’t fret my dear readers. I started up a blog specifically to keep up with during the summer so everyone is happy. You’re welcome.

Prior to keeping this blog this year, I never kept up with a blog for fun, just ones I had to make for school. Well, by golly I loved blogging so much that I decided to make a new blog to keep up with during the summer. I don’t have anything on there yet, but I am going to blog on there at least once a week, and I plan on posting any vlogs I do on there as well, so I’m not out of your lives yet. I will post the link below if you are interested in reading some more of my blog posts.

THE LINK TO MY BLOG IS RIGHT HERE. CLICK ME!

Thank you so very much for reading throughout this past school year, and feel free to scroll through and read all of my hilarious and inspiring (I’m like, really humble) posts from this year.

Oooh, summer.

Have an A+ summer, and thanks for reading :)

LAHWF

Happy Thursday to all! I am quite fond of YouTube, and I have recently been really into a channel called LAHWF.

LAHWF (Losing All Hope Was Freedom) is run by a man named Andrew Hales. Hales, with the help of his friends, performs social experiments and films them for his 531,000 subscribers. His videos range from holding people hands, to whispering “needy” things to people. He also has a video where he tells strangers corny jokes, which is great, because I sometimes do that!

All of his videos are really funny and awkward because no one knows how to react to the strange things he does. Basically, I have started living vicariously through Andrew Hales.

In other news, I got recognized for my blog by a stranger in Starbucks the other night. It was super exciting and was the second time I’ve been recognized by someone. #InternetFamous #OnMyWay

Also, tomorrow afternoon is an acoustic concert in Holcolm Gardens for Peace Week. I mentioned on Monday that it is Peace Week, and what sounds more ideal than listening to some tunes whilst sitting in the beautiful place that is Holcolm Gardens? Nothing, that’s what. The concert is from 3-5 p.m. Be there or be square.

Have a great end to the week and thanks for reading :)
