Happy Wednesday to all! The weather has been really strange lately and I don’t like it one bit. Thankfully, it was kind of pleasant yesterday because I had to walk downtown for my Urban Ecology class. The class was split into groups of four or five and we had to walk six miles to get downtown and observe the road we were walking on. Once my group got downtown, we hit up Au Bon Pain and the Chocolate Café, making the long walk worth it. I got some ice cream from the Chocolate Café and it sufficiently replenished me after our two-hour walk.
I mentioned in my video from Friday that I am in the process of collecting notes I find on the ground for an art project. I picked up a couple interesting things on our walk. I found a “poetry book” made by two little kids and it is adorable. I got ice cream and found neat stuff on the ground, so yesterday was a good day.
Today I decided to wear one of my fanny packs (even though it’s not Fanny Pack Friday, but that’s what #BoldMoveJanuary is all about, right?). While in Atherton, I saw some kid who was also wearing a fanny pack!
We bonded over our fannies and I told him about Fanny Pack Friday, so I am hoping he will be sporting his again at the end of the week.
In other news, a tour group of visiting students was walking through Atherton and I called out to them, “Let me love you!” and one of the prospective student’s father’s heard me and chuckled. Hopefully that sealed the deal and convinced him that Butler was the place for his child. Have a wonderful rest of the week and thanks for reading
