Music Monday: AlexisCarboMusic

Happy Monday everyone! Hopefully everyone is having a wonderful first day of classes. Before I recommend some music, how ’bout some quick music news! Have you heard that Destiny’s Child is getting back together? Heard of Justin Timberlake releasing new music? Both of these artists are back on the music scene after being quiet for several years. Hopefully their reappearances will not disappoint!

I am particularly excited about this Music Monday post because I am sharing with you the musical stylings of Alexis Carballido. Alexis is one of my dear friends, and she just happens to be an incredibly clever musician.

Alexis writes her own songs and makes mash-ups of other artists’s songs and posts them to her YouTube channel. All of the songs are kind of quirky and very clever and unique. She also plays guitar or ukelele in all of them, so yeah, she’s kind of a big deal. My absolute favorite of her songs is “The Awkward Song” because as I have mentioned before, I am a tad awkward. Here are a few of my faves, but be sure to check out the rest of her videos! Have a great week and thanks for reading :)
