Happy Monday and welcome back to school everybody! I hope everyone had a lovely fall break! For this music Monday I will be suggesting to you the musical styling’s of Mika. Mika (his real name is Michael Holbrook Penniman Jr) is a British singer-songwriter whose songs I can only describe as quirky pop.

Mika has released several extended plays and three albums: Life in Cartoon Motion (2007), The Boy Who Knew Too Much (2009), and The Origin of Love (2012). I was unaware of his new CD until researching him for this post, so I am quite jazzed to check it out! Anyway, Mika is super fun and energetic and quirky in the most wonderful way. His song Love Today was featured on MTV upon its release in 2007, so I would not be surprised if you have heard it! Grace Kelly is also a fairly popular one.
