Weekend Recap

Since this past weekend was an extended weekend, I decided to come home (like I said in my last blog). Of course, I missed the biggest basketball game of the year versus Gonzaga, which I actually had a wristband for, but that’s besides the point. I had a great weekend back at home, and I actually had the opportunity to pick up things that I had forgot to bring back to Butler from the break, but I took care of that!

When my bus arrived in Knoxville, there was snow all over the roads, cars, and sidewalks, even downtown! The bus had made a stop at a red light and it began to slide down a hill due to the snow, which was crazy, and according to the weather on my phone it’s supposed to snow not once- but twice- this week!

It's gonna be a cold week!

I’m on my way back to Butler now, and I’m also writing this on my iPhone again! It’s crazy how great technology is, isn’t it?

What Have I Done?

I decided earlier in the week that I was going to go back home for the extended weekend. “It’ll be fun! I won’t be able to see anyone until the summer anyways if I don’t go home for spring break!” Well, I’ve gotten myself into quite a mess…..it’s pretty much blizzard-ing where I live right now, and I’m leaving at 8PM tonight to go home…

What my house currently looks like, which isn't so bad...

It just looks like a lot of snow there, but its gotten much worse. The interstate and all main roads are practically shutting down, and I’m not exactly sure how it’s going to look when I get home at about 5AM tomorrow morning.

One of the busiest roads that leads from my house in Knoxville to my high school, which is a disaster currently.

Struggle (not so mega)Bus Part 2

Okay, I’ve been away from my computer for so long now that I haven’t been able to blog, and I sincerely apologize…but I am BACK! I want to say that this past week has been crazy, but that’s literally been every week of school for a few weeks now, so I guess I’m just now adjusting to the college lifestyle. Hah. But seriously, this past week I had 3 papers due, a pre-calculus exam, and I worked every day to make up hours. It’s been crazy.

I do just want to also blog about my past experience about coming back from home from Thanksgiving break last Sunday….I took the Megabus. It was not really that great of an experience, but luckily my friend Jensey and I took it together. It was a 7 hours trip from Nashville to Indy, connecting in Louisville. There was also a 30 minute break at a gas station that had a McDonald’s & Subway as well. It was a double-decker bus, which was interesting. But it got us to Indy on time, and I guess I would do it again if I had to…but thankfully my parents are picking me up for Winter Break!
