About Me:

Hey, I'm Austin, and I'm currently a freshman here at Butler! I'm an ENTJ, a travel junkie, and an entrepreneur. I'm an Alpha Kappa Psi brother & True Blue Mentor, as well as being a part of Entrepreneurship & Innovation club, the volunteer center, and a student production crew member at the brand new Schrott Center. I also am a part of the student-run business, the Butler Bed Buddy. I'm always looking for something to get involved with on campus as well. Go Dawgs!

Four More Years

This is what I wanted my first blog to be about of the week – the election. I’m SO thankful it’s over, and although I would have been content with either outcome of the election – I’m VERY pleased about the outcome! Barack Obama successfully clinched the re-election over Mitt Romney. I even donated money to attempt to get Obama reelected – and it did!

I have so many emotions running through my mind right now. I’m too excited to sleep. Sometimes I wish that Butler was a little bit more on the liberal side, but hey – it’s pretty moderate, and I can deal with that. This is a picture my friend sent me from the College Democrats of America chapter at Georgetown – they were watching live updates, and as soon as Obama tipped past 270 they all ran to the White House.

An Obama rally my friend attended tonight!

On a positive note – if you’re looking for a more politically moderate school, Butler is a good place to be. I have friends who are Republicans and I also have friends who are Democrat – it’s an even split. That’s just an inside look!
