Happy Friday! First and foremost, I did not actually have an official date this Valentine’s Day, therefore my best friend Emily and I went out to dinner together because she didn’t have one, either. But like a regular date/Valentine’s Day, I surprised her with flowers! She was really shocked, but loved them. I forgot to buy a vase to go along with them so we had to use a Marco’s cup as a vase. This is the way it turned out:
I did good, right?
Although the Marco’s cup takes away from it, I still think I did alright. After my Chinese class last night we went to dinner at Olive Garden! Olive Garden is LITERALLY my favorite restaurant! We had a blast, and ended up coming back to Butler and she helped me with my laundry! It wasn’t such a bad holiday for either of us after all!
On Friday, a group of my best friends and I got together to celebrate my best friend Emily’s birthday at a new restaurant downtown – called Dick’s Last Resort. This isn’t your typical restaurant, though. We showed up and were greeted by a group of hosts, hostesses, waiters, and more who were all screaming and having a good time, so we knew it was going to be a good time.
When we sat down, our waitress came up (wearing a pink tutu over her jeans) and pretty much screamed at us trying to figure out what we wanted to order. When she brought our drinks back, she just casually threw straws at my friend Kerry who was sitting beside me to intentionally hit her. They also tied plastic bibs around all of our necks, too! The thing is with this restaurant is that their purpose is to be mean, rude, and crude – but in a fun way. When we told the waitress it was my friend Emily’s birthday, she made her a hat that specifically said “high maintenance birthday girl” and got her this giant high chair to sit on, and made her eventually get up on stage and dance in front of everyone in the restaurant – it was HILARIOUS!
Going to the restaurant was a fun experience, and it just opened in downtown Indy – right next to Circle Centre. There are also other restaurants in Chicago, Myrtle Beach, and Gatlinburg! I’ve been to the original one in Myrtle Beach, and I live near Gatlinburg and have been to that one as well – they were both a blast, and the one in Indy is, too. I definitely recommend checking it out if you want to laugh and have a good time with friends!
