Since this is my first year away from home at college, of course it is normal for my family to get together more than they usually would if I were home. Let me explain this – my mom, my mom’s fiance, and my younger sister all live in Tennessee, and both of my older sisters live in a suburb of Atlanta, Georgia. It’s been hard being away at school because due to all of us having incredibly busy lives and living in three different states, we haven’t all been together as once, well, since I believe Christmas of 2011. It gets hard for me personally at times, but it is just going to make the next time we all get together even more worth it!

My family at Abuelo's! I miss them!
My family got together yesterday in Chattanooga (which is the halfway point for my mom and my sisters to meet) for my older sister Jena’s birthday. She turned 25, and everyone except for myself was able to attend her birthday dinner at Abuelo’s . While my mom did attempt to FaceTime me while the family was at dinner, I was actually asleep and didn’t answer! It was sad, but I am hoping that we can all at least be together at some point next week for dinner perhaps. Anything, really, I just miss being with all of them at once, but I will at least get to see all of them next week (whether it is all together or separate) next week when I go home for spring break, and then go to stay with my sisters for a few days! Needless to say, I’m beyond excited to see all of them and my dad as well next week!
