This past Saturday was the first men’s Butler basketball game of the season, and it was an exhibition match against another Indianapolis university, Marian. It was also my first experience at a Butler basketball game, and words cannot express how incredible it was being in Hinkle Fieldhouse for the first time. I never got a chance to see Hinkle when I toured campus, but it was incredible. The energy of everyone in the arena from both team supporters was awesome, and it was great seeing Butler in action finally!
Butler defeated Marian 62-40 by the end of the game, and I have a pretty solid feeling about this upcoming season. Butler has another match against the University of Indianapolis this Saturday. I’m pretty excited for that game as well, because it’s just a few days before the season actually begins! It’s great seeing some action on campus from both alumni and students getting into the Butler spirit. It should be a good season!

Just wait until we really get into the basketball season. It’s the best!
