Today is Valentine’s Day and I was pleasantly surprised that as soon as I walked into Jordan Hall, there was a girl handing out Valentine’s Day cards and candy. It definitely made my morning. I really needed the sugar because I was so tired. I didn’t even get to stop by Starbucks before class like I usually do!

In my Civil War FYS class we are now reading “For Cause and Comrades” by James M. McPherson. I haven’t started reading it yet but I will tonight and give my opinion. It’s shorter than the last book we read so I kind of like it already.

I did not get to watch the Grammys yesterday unfortunately. I did get to catch Lady Gaga’s performance, which I actually thought was kind of boring. I’m an ardent fan and even I was left a little disappointed with her new song “Born This Way.”
