Last night, as I was minding my own business about to go to bed, I decided to go online just to check on the news for the day. While I was on Twitter, all of a sudden I saw KimYe trending. KimYe is short for Kim Kardashian and Kanye West and is their celebrity couple name. And if you know anything about me, you’d know that Kanye is my favorite rapper/singer and Kim is my favorite person in existence. When I clicked on the trend, to my surprise, I found out that she is pregnant with Kanye’s child. The joy I felt was beyond words and needless to say this baby is a New Year’s miracle.
I got unnecessarily too excited about this news and started texting everyone in my phone expressing my excitement. Sure it was 1 AM but this was earth shattering news so it was urgent! Everyone I talked to was just as excited as me, or at least pretended to be. Now I will make it my number one goal to babysit this baby.

I’ve been away from campus for less than three days and already I miss it! Don’t get me wrong, I love my home and family but I miss my room and all the people! I even made a Twitter and Instagram on Monday just to keep in touch
and creep on everyone but, in typical André fashion, I deleted them because I got tired of it all. It’s just too much for me to handle!
To keep my mind off things, I went shopping. I got so many nice clothes at the mall today and I’m definitely considering it an early Christmas present to myself, just in case the world actually ends on Friday. I’m mostly going to miss my friend Karleen! She got me a really nice sweater and shirt for J Crew so I definitely had to return the favor when I went shopping today!
Wearing my new sweater! Thanks Karlz!
I have a (not so secret) secret Twitter account where I only tweet at celebrities I like. And last night as I was doing my daily job of trying to get the Kardashians to notice me, I got a tweet from the one and only Khloe Kardashian! In case you don’t get why this is such a big deal to me, you should know that Kim is my future wife (no big deal).
Khloe tweeted at me about their interview with Oprah that was on last night. I’m surprised she even tweeted me since she has 7 million followers but that’s just the power of André! Kim has 15 million followers so it’s going to be a lot tougher to get her to notice me but I’m determined!
The tweet heard around the world!
I just so happened to be creeping on Kim Kardashian’s Twitter the other day and she recommended this site called Instagram. I decided to try it out and I’m OBSESSED! It is a site that allows you to edit photos and add effects to make them really cool. I’m currently addicted to it and have edited all the photos in my phone. I’m basically the next Annie Leibovitz.
While I’ve been obsessing over Instagram, I’ve also been trying to kick off another addiction. Starbucks. I had Starbucks every day last week and have been trying to ween myself off. I made it through today without it and the headaches have been horrific! But, it’s nothing a couple of Aspirin can’t fix! I’ve been going strong for three days now so hopefully I’ll be off of it for good!
Here's a cool Instagram photo I made! I feel so professional!
I have developed a weird obsession with short films recently, which inspired a big decision in my life. My favorite short film so far is called “Some Boys Don’t Leave,” with the “boy” being portrayed by Jesse Eisenberg, who played Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg in the movie “The Social Network.” I’ve never seen the Social Network but I looked up clips online and I feel like I would enjoy it!
After looking up that he was in The Social Network, I was inspired to make a Facebook and join the rest of humanity online. I’m already obsessed with it and I’m pretty sure I’ll keep it this time instead of deleting it like I always do! Since I’m in this new social networking phase, I also created a new Twitter account. I currently have 74 followers which BASICALLY means I’m the next Kim Kardashian , who has almost 13 million followers but that’s just a minor detail!
I’m thinking of making a Tumblr account as well. Pretty soon I’ll be on EVERY social networking site! Who knows, maybe I’ll go back to my old Myspace! JUST KIDDING!
I needed a chair to sit in the press area at the women's basketball game and of course the one I got broke in half!
As I mentioned previously, I made a Facebook over the weekend out of boredom. Well, as of yesterday, I deleted it again! It was just too confusing to handle! I’ll just be happy with my Twitter and leave Facebook alone!
In unrelated news, my Michael Bublé obsession has soared to new heights! Not only have I been listening to his new Christmas album non-stop on a continuous loop, but I’m also learning the words to all his other songs as well (If only I could sing!!)
One good thing I can say I’ve done this week is I haven’t been procrastinating! I got most of my homework for the week done yesterday! Now I have LOADS of free-time! Maybe now I’ll have time to watch the shows I’ve been meaning to catch up on like The X Factor and Modern Family!
I found this funny photo of myself from my British Literature project from last year! I was obviously enjoying nature that day!
I have no idea what I was doing in this picture..... But I still like it!
Last night I watched the White House Correspondent’s Dinner on CSPAN. If you’re not familiar with it, it is a dinner run by all the reporters at the White House for a special cause and to give out scholarships. During the dinner, the President and a guest comedian both do their own stand up comedic routines.
This year’s comedian was Seth Meyers. I usually find Seth to be awkward, especially when he tries to be funny, but I have to say he was hilarious last night! His Donald Trump jokes were the best! Mr. Trump looked so angry whenever he was being made fun of and that made it even better. Everyone sitting at Trump’s table looked so awkward because they didn’t know whether to laugh or not!
President Obama was pretty funny as well. I really liked his Adjustment Bureau joke against Matt Damon because I previously blogged about how I did not like that movie.
I was tweeting during the whole event and the social media sponsored hash-tag for the event for the event was #nerdprom. I think it is funny that they willingly called it a Nerd Prom but it’s not like I blame them because what else would you call a room full of politicians and journalists with their wives!?

Here is a video of Seth Meyers’ remarks. You can see where he starts talking about Trump at 12:04
Last week I went into Starbucks like any other day to order my Tall Chai Tea Latte like I usually do but there was a booth called “Coffee Chat” open that said if you filled out a card for a suggestion about campus then you’d receive a free tall drink from Starbucks. This definitely made my day!
Something that made my day today is the fact that the Oscars are coming on today! I’m excited to see Anne Hathaway and James Franco host. I think they’ll be an interesting pair. Hopefully I finish my homework in time to watch it! I’m just interested in seeing which film wins Best Picture and who wins Best Actor and Actress. It’ll be a fun night for sure!
That’s all for today! Feel free to leave a comment and thanks for visiting! You can see my Twitter here.

So REACH, Butler’s diversity organization, sponsored a free trip to Chicago to the first 25 students to sign up and luckily I was one of them! The trip was to see a play called “Mary” at the Goodman Theatre. We left at campus at 10 am and got back at 10 pm. It was definitely a full day!
When we got to Chicago, we had an hour and a half to explore on our own before the play started so a group of us all went to get lunch. I had Chinese food which was delicious to say the least!
After this, we all went to see the play which I also loved. It did a great job portraying real-life gender and racial issues facing Americans. It had its serious moments and it also had its funny moments. I would not mind seeing it again!
After the play, we ended the day by going to Giordano’s Pizzeria which was also paid for. I’m from the Chicago area so I’ve had it before but it tastes better with each bite! I even had four slices left over to bring home.
When we got back to campus, I went to my dorm room and decided to unwind by laying down and browsing the Internet. In doing this, I decided to make a Tumblr! I recently deleted my Facebook because I got bored with it so this is a really nice substitute with my time! Along with Twitter, I feel like I’ve now covered all the important social networking sites.
That’s all for today! Feel free to leave a comment and thanks for visiting my blog!
