Saturday Night I stayed up late to watch Lindsay Lohan host Saturday Night Live. It was a really funny episode and it seemed to go by really fast! Although she did stumble over her lines a bit, I thought she did great. My favorite skits were the Real Housewives of Disney skit. It’s probably because I’m obsessed with all the Real Housewives shows!
But my enjoyment was short lived as I got sick the next day. Thank goodness I went home this weekend so I could be well taken care of by my family! I ended up being sick on Monday too but I’m better now! All I ate was a bagel and two bottles of Gatorade. Needless to say, I’m still starving!!
Here’s the Real Housewives video! It’s so much like the real thing!
Today is the third day I’ve had a sore throat. It’s weird because I’ve never really had a sore throat before! Hopefully it is gone by tomorrow. I’ve been drinking tea from Starbucks with honey so I’m sure it’ll go away soon. I also heard that gargling salt water helps too but I think I’ll pass!
Despite my life-threatning illness, I am excited because this week is free speech week and the Collegianhas set up a stand in Starbucks to raise awareness of the freedom of speech and to talk about its importance. Hopefully I can find time to sit at the table to help. The Collegian staff even made a video demonstrating the importance of the freedom of speech and press. I can’t wait to see the finished product!
Saying that yesterday was a rough day for me may be an understatement. After getting sick and having to leave class early, I headed to my dorm and somehow must have dropped my wallet. I noticed I lost it about a couple hours later and searched EVERYWHERE for it. I decided to go to the main desk out front to see if someone found it and someone did in fact turned it in! Whoever found my wallet, if you’re reading this, THANKS A MILLION!! That just truly shows how nice people are here on campus.
That evening I felt better and got to resume my nighttime rituals of going to Starbucks and finishing up homework. I have so many assignments and projects due next week that I’m finding it to be a necessity to be on my game and managing my time wisely! Hopefully after next week everything will be a little less hectic!
Random Video of the Day:
I just love these “Butler’s Cribs” videos on YouTube!
Today I have my Inside Reporting class which I’m really excited for. It’s a one day a week class so since we started class on Tuesday last week, I haven’t been to it yet. Since it’s only on one day, it’s a 2.5 hour class. I’ve never had to sit in the same seat for so long! Hopefully it’ll be fun so my mind won’t be on the length. I like writing so I’m sure it’ll be fine.
Last night I got sick and thought that I would have to miss class. Thank goodness I felt better when I woke up. I haven’t missed a class all year and I didn’t want to start this semester that way. It was weird because I hardly ever get sick. Hopefully it doesn’t come back!
That’s all for today! Thanks for visiting and feel free to leave a comment. I love getting in touch with readers.
