I had to make a video for my Political Humor class about how I was trained to think the way I do regarding politics. But it had to be funny. It took me a while to figure out what I wanted to do but I finally decided to do one on why we should recycle babies to protect the environment.
In order to do this project I had to buy a toy doll from Target, which made for an awkward time. As the cashier was printing out a gift receipt because she assumed it was a gift, she asked who I was giving it to. When I replied that it was for me, she gave me a very strange look and said, “Oh, ok…” Needless to say, it was well worth it because I love my video!
For my Political Humor course we were all assigned to watch the Republican National Convention and write a paper on it, so that is exactly how I spent my night. I wasn’t in my room so I had to watch a live stream of it on Yahoo. It was kind of awkward watching it since I’m a member of Butler’s College Democrats.
The big speakers of the night were New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and Ann Romney. I surprisingly enjoyed both. Christie was very bombastic and brazen and that’s what I liked about it. Romney, on the other hand, was very mellow and soft spoken, which was also nice to contrast Christie. So it ended up not being a bad night. There are two more nights to go so hopefully they are as enjoyable as the first!
Here’s a video covering the convention
