Projects Galore!

I feel like all of my professors had a secret meeting and decided to make all my projects due this week and to schedule random tests and quizzes this week too! It is definitely quite the load but I got most of my work done this weekend so I won’t be too stressed.

One of my projects was for my British Literature class. We had to translate movement into something creative so I did a photography project. I tried to do a comical take on the Romantic Era. I had my friend Jill go with me in Holcomb Gardens and take pictures of me enjoying nature.

Doing the project was actually fun and relaxing! It inspired me to REALLY go out and enjoy nature on my own without having to do an assignment. I took advantage of the warm weather and went on an hour walk. I felt oh so refreshed!

Spanish Rap

Although my Spanish group thought we were being creative in reciting our vocabulary words to the tune of a rap by Nicki Minaj, turns out the other two groups did the same thing! They didn’t use Nicki Minaj but they still rapped. It was fun though! My group was CLEARLY the best. Not only did we have great costumes, our theme was aliens vs. nerds, but we also memorized it. I think our professor was impressed.

In my British Literature class, we have to write a sonnet and I’m not used to writing poetry so it will definitely be a challenge.Who knows, maybe I’ll be a natural! This is the first class I’ve actually liked British Literature in. We cover more poetry than the typical Shakespeare as in high school english which is a definite plus.

That’s all for today! Feel free to leave a comment and thanks for visiting! You can see my Twitter here.

This is Holcomb Tower. I would always sit by the tower when it was warmer and study! Can't wait until spring!

Day One, Semester Two

Today was the first day of the new semester and I loved all of my classes! I started the day with Spanish, then I had British Literature, and I ended my day with Aesthetics & Design. Tomorrow I only have one class so I am already looking forward to it!

Already I had to meet with my Spanish group in the library. Our assignment is to use vocabulary words and put it to the tune of a song. The song we are using is “Bad Romance” by Lady Gaga.

The Busy Week Continues….

Last night the College Democrats organization had dinner at the advisor’s home. It was good to finally have a home cooked meal in college and it was a great experience to have. We discussed various political and social issues and ate Greek and Middle Eastern food. Many students from small schools boast that they have had dinner at a teacher’s house and I can now finally say the same!

I have a lot of assignments this week. They include: a Spanish test, writing a paper for Irish Literature (FYS), reading for Chemistry, and write and conduct an interview with a Butler faculty member for my writing class. I’m going to try to get as much of it done tonight but I am really excited for the new episode of Glee tonight so I will have a limited time to do it. It is the new Britney Spears episode and it is supposed to be good. Some of my friends are supposed to come to my dorm so we can all watch it together!

That’s all for today!
