Tonight my friends Taylor and Karleen went with me to see the Hunger Games: Catching Fire downtown. I have to watch it and write a review of it for extra credit for one of my classes which is great because I would have seen it anyway. I’m not sure if it was because I saw the first movie on DVD and didn’t get the full theatre experience but the second movie was by far better and of better quality. Needless to say, it was amazing.
Taylor, Karleen, and I at the theatre
Jennifer Lawrence stole the show for me. She looked great, her acting was great, and she put so much into her character that it was commendable. I even almost shed a tear at some of the parts she was in. Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth were also good in the movie too. I usually don’t like movies longer than an hour and a half but I was so enthralled that I wish it had gone on longer. So it ended up being a great movie and I highly recommend it to anyone. We caught an early showing so we didn’t even have to stay up late!
Karleen getting a little too into the movie.
My obsession with the new Miley Cyrus has grown so much and I finally get to express it by purchasing her new album Bangerz tomorrow. It was just yesterday when she was a young innocent teen on Disney with her secret life as Hannah Montana and now she has grown into a wild twerking machine.
I streamed Bangerz on iTunes last week and I love almost all of the songs. My favorite is “Drive” which is rumored to be about her ex fiancé Liam Hemsworth. I also love the classics “We Can’t Stop” and “Wrecking Ball” as well. A lot of the songs on the album are mid tempos so they’re quite hard to dance to but I still make it work.
I’ll be staying up until midnight to buy the album tonight and probably won’t go to bed until 2 when I finally will get through the album and fall asleep. I hope this new Miley continues forever because my obsession is real.
I saw a preview for the Hunger Games and needless to say I’m super excited for it. It sounds like a cool storyline and I’m excited to see what the filmakers will do to create the imagery of it. There is also a book form of it that I’m thinking of reading over the summer so I’ll see if I get to it!
I don’t know any of the actors in the movie except for Liam Hemsworth, who happens to be dating Miley Cyrus! I really liked him in The Last Song so hopefully he won’t disappoint in this movie. Hopefully I’ll be able to go see it this weekend if all the tickets aren’t sold out!
Here’s the trailer for the movie:
