Over Achieving Boredom

So finals are coming up this week and luckily for me I only really have one actual exam and the rest are just writing final papers. Since I want to make the most of my relaxation time. So that means this weekend I have been  unnecessarily  finishing most of my papers for classes so next week I won’t have much to do.

Since I’ve been doing all of my assignments so awkwardly early, I’ve been using a lot of my free time to browse the web and see what I find. One of the things I’ve found a new pasion for are stop motion videos. They involve so much work and effort to make that it amazes me whenever I see intricate ones. This is one of my favorites:

Hopefully one day, with enough patience, I will be able to make one too.

Wide Awake

Since I’ve had a lack of substantial finals to do this week but still have to be here because I’m an RA, my sleeping patterns have been out of whack and I’ve been sleeping a lot during the day and wide awake at night. Not even coffee and Red Bull have been able to keep me up during the day but I’ve been slowly managing. I guess my days of being an early bird are slowly being left behind.

I only have to be here two more days so that’s pretty exciting. It has been so fun seeing campus getting emptier and emptier as the days go on. I cannot wait to see how quiet things are on Saturday night! And it’ll be extremely strange seeing the parking lot empty on Sunday.

I just woke up from a nap and thought it appropriately described me.

Music Monday: A Bublé Christmas

I’ve been going through weird music phases, and one of them is being awkwardly obsessed with Michael Bublé lately. I just got his Christmas album and I’ve been listening to it nonstop, which is weird because I usually don’t like to listen to Christmas music. My favorite songs by him are “Cry Me a River” and “Haven’t Met You Yet.” Whenever I listen to “Haven’t Met You Yet” I always want to prance around a grocery store since he does it in the music video.

Speaking of Christmas, I cannot wait to go home for the holidays. Not because I’m excited for Christmas itself, but I’m just excited to be done with the semester! I hate all the attention, shocking I know, that comes from giving and receiving presents, which is why I always just ask for money! I especially just hate the cold! Hopefully it is not a white Christmas this year! Bah humbug!

Butler Memories

Here’s a list of my favorite Butler/Indianapolis memories so far in no particular order:

1. The basketball team going to the national finals my freshman year for the second time.

2. Going to Ambassadors of Change.

3.Volunteering  for my Research and Analysis class.

4. Going to sporting events for newspaper.

5. The announcement of Blue 3 as the new mascot.

6. Seeing all the Super Bowl stuff downtown.

7. Going to the mall almost every weekend.

8. Having Jimmy Fallon come to campus.

I can’t wait to add more to the list with my remaining two years!

Finals Galore

Tomorrow starts the first day of finals and I’m trying desperately to contain my excitement. Cue the sarcasm. I have one each day this week which is really not motivating me to do anything. Instead, procrastination is getting the best of me and I’ve been looking up videos of Sophia Grace and Rose online instead of studying!

Don’t worry, I’ll start studying AFTER my nap! Thankfully I think I know the material pretty well for my tests so I’m trying not to be too worried! One of my friends has 3 finals in one day! So at least I’m lucky enough to have them spread out!

Well, I’m off to sleep/study!

Here’s a video of Sophia Grace & Rosie that I stumbled upon while studying! Here they’re meeting Nicki Minaj:

Final Day To Almost Freedom

Today is the last day of classes before finals and I’m super excited. One of my classes for today was canceled so today got a little more exciting! But then I realized I still have to give a presentation in my Research class so the excitement subsided a little. I’m so nervous to present! I’m sure I’ll do fine since I’ve been practicing but it’s still hard to get over those nerves!

Since finals don’t start until Wednesday, Tuesday is wide open. So I’ve decided to start moving some of the stuff I don’t use home. It feels so weird to say that I’m starting to move out of my room already. It’ll be even weirder because next week I’ll be half way done with college! :o I’m not ready to leave just yet!! I’m going to have to make the most of the next two years as it seems like these two have just flown by!

Last week when I went to Starbucks one night, there was a mini concert going on! I've yet to find out who was playing.

I’m A Celebrity

I’ve been studying tirelessly for my last final for the past few days. I’m so excited to finally being able to go home soon! I’ve yet to start packing so I guess I’ll awkwardly start on that later! My final isn’t until tonight so I’ll have plenty of time to finish start packing.

Yesterday, as I took a break from studying, I decided to make a GooglePlus account! I was amazed to see how many people are on it and all the celebrities that have embraced it too. Also, after I followed Britney Spears, she followed me back! Needless to say, this probably makes me a celebrity now. Move over, Bieber!

I’m really looking forward to going home to be with my family and friends. I really want to see the new movie The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo so hopefully I can force one of my friends to go with me! The trailer looks so creepy, so I’m pretty ecstatic!

This is me and my friend Jill getting rowdy in the library over Thanksgiving break showing off my leopard socks!

Mucho Spanish!

I’ve spent the last three days studying for my Spanish exam and I can officially say I am all Spanish’d out! I knew I was reaching my tipping point when I started accidentally speaking in spanish in normal conversation. So I decided to take a break!

The exam is over five chapters so it’s not too much but not too little. I cannot wait until it is over so I can officially say I’m a sophomore! It’ll be fun seeing all the new students next semester. I remember carrying my campus map trying to find all of my classes on the first day and ended up being a pro at it by the next day!

But now I guess I’ll get back to studying for Spanish. Let’s just say I know more about present participles and how to say them in Spanish than I ever wanted to know!

I thought it would be appropriate to have a Spanish video today!

It’s Finals! Getting Down With Finals!

Hopefully “Friday” is now stuck in your head!

Finals are almost over which is very exciting because it means no more tests. As soon as my final is over I have to head back to my dorm and check out and return my keys and then I’m heading home, never to return until the start of next semester!

I’ve been procrastinating and just started studying yesterday. But, I technically consider it getting ahead! Who says studying three days ahead is procrastinating!?

So while my attention should be focused on finals, I can’t help but be excited for the upcoming new show The X Factor. It’s like a new version of American Idol & is coming to FOX this year. And one of my favorite celebrities, Cheryl Cole, is supposed to be a judge on the show which makes it even better! Plus, it has Simon Cowell! How can you go wrong there!?

Here’s one of the commercials for the new show!

Final Week!

This week is the final week of classes and I couldn’t be more excited! Butler has definitely been a fun experience and I cannot wait until my years to come! I really hope my future years don’t go by as fast.

The only bad part about the year ending is that finals are rapidly approaching! Luckily for me, I only have one final during finals week. The rest of my classes either don’t have a final or are having it this week. My final is on the last day of finals (just my luck!) so I’ll be slowly but surely moving my stuff back home slowly during the week.

I’m going to miss so much about campus during the summer! I’m going to miss all the people, all my classes, and all the Pepsi, since Butler is a Pepsi campus!

The thing I’ll miss most is randomly seeing Blue 2 in Starbucks in the mornings! He better stay rowdy for when I get back!

Blue 2 just being the celebrity he is!
