Shopping Rehab

I’ll admit it, I have a shopping problem! I’ve recently explored the world of online shopping and now I cannot stop! It is so convenient to just buy everything you need with the click of a mouse! I’ve been hitting up Kohls lately and I cannot wait for all the new clothes I bought to come in! I’m mostly excited for the new Moccasins to come.

My friend Jill also informed me that there is an outlet mall near me and I’ve been addicted to shopping there too! Evidently it has been there for years but of course I was out of the loop and just heard of it! My favorite place to shop there is Calvin Klein. It was so great to buy everything I wanted for half price! I’m even going there today to get new pajamas!

While out shopping I’ve also been getting Christmas presents for my family! I STILL haven’t finished buying them yet so hopefully I’ll find something today before it’s too late!

To get you in the holiday mood, here’s the super creepy Justin Bieber/Mariah Carey music video for “All I Want For Christmas Is You”!

Wet Christmas

Break has been wonderful so far! I can literally say I have done nothing but eat, sleep, and watch television every day so far which is exactly how I like it! I’ve also been able to catch up on all the episodes of Fear Factor I’ve missed this season! I’ve also developed a new strange love for UFC. I’ve been watching it nonstop and I even bought the 100 Best UFC fights of all time on DVD as an early Christmas present to myself!

I also found out that I’m going to be assistant sports editor for the Collegian next semester, which probably explains my new UFC obsession! I’m really excited since sports is a new world to me so it’ll be interesting to see how I do at my new position. I’ve been watching ESPN daily to try to catch myself up on the latest sports news!

The best thing about break has been the fact that it hasn’t snowed and has been raining instead! I have mixed emotions toward snow. I only enjoy it when it has the potential to cancel classes and school but other than that, I’d prefer not to be bothered! I hate slipping on ice and having to clean off my car! Maybe I’ll get lucky and not have a terrible winter like last year!

Homerun

This weekend I decided to have my own little winter break before finals week starts so I went home to visit for a few days. It was fun just to relax and get a couple last minute assignments done. This morning I woke up early and drove back to Butler. Needless to say it was a fun ride considering there were no cars on the highway and I was singing songs on my iPod at the top of my lungs!

This week I only have two finals so I am looking forward to finally being done with the semester. I just have one more assignment to do today and then I’ll be able to relax! I am more excited for next semester and all the new classes I’ll be taking! The class that sounds the most interesting and different is my web design class. I’m really looking forward to it and hoping I can learn a lot of new things about web journalism!

I can also say I am officially done with my Converged Journalism Project! It took a whole semester to complete and I am really proud of it! I had so much fun filming interviews and shots, writing stories, and editing my video to put the whole thing together. My topic was education reform and Indianapolis Public Schools. Trust me, it’s more interesting than it initially sounds! It’s full of action and conflict!

Here’s the final video I made for the project

Christmas Spirit

On Friday my unit went to go see the Nutcracker at Clowes and I really enjoyed it! I didn’t get the chance to see the Nutcracker last year so I was happy I got the chance to do so this year. It it put on by the Butler ballet every year and I hear they do a good job with it each time!

When it ended I was very disappointed because I wanted it go on on longer! I really enjoyed the dancing and seeing people I recognize, like fellow blogger Olivia. It was also fun to see people performing that I had no idea were dance majors, such as the girl who played Clara who also is really nice and makes my drinks in Starbucks.

Since they put it on each year, I cannot wait to see next year’s performance!

Here is a video with Butler ballet students participating in a flash mob for a promo for the show Glee in downtown Indy!

Bad News Bears

Yesterday, as I was enjoying my vacation, I decided to watch some Sunday football. Though I’m an avid New York Jets fan, after watching the Bears game yesterday, I became a fan of them as well! I really like the way the Bears play and I think all of the Chicago fans are getting to me!

I also witnessed Bears quarterback Jay Cutler break his thumb which may end his season. Hopefully he can recover quickly enough to make sure the Bears don’t face the same fate as the Colts this season. This season is becoming more and more exciting as the weeks go on and I have no idea who will be in the Super Bowl in Indy this year! I really hope I can go because I hear that one of my favorite singers, Nicki Minaj, is supposed to be performing with Madonna at halftime! I can’t wait!

I’ve been seeing this Target commercial a lot lately and I’m not quite sure what it’s saying…. BUT! I still find it awkwardly hilarious each time I see it! Hopefully I don’t encounter anyone like her when I go Black Friday shopping this this week!

Back to the Present

Over the weekend I did the unthinkable… I created a Facebook! I was bored after finishing my homework and just decided to make one! It’s definitely different from what it was when I had my first Facebook. There are so many new features and tabs! It’ll take me a while to learn them all.

I’ve also been in the Christmas spirit today because Michael Bublé‘s Christmas album came out today! Although it is two months away, it is never too early to get in the Christmas mood! The only Christmas thing I’m not looking forward to is the snow. It was extremely cold all last week so it just needs to warm up quick before winter rolls along!

Here’s a Michael Bublé Christmas video to put you in the holiday spirit as well!

Spring Cleaning: Winter Edition

My family likes to do things backwards and start spring cleaning in the WINTER! I didn’t have much to clean in my room since I always try to keep it neat and tidy so it wasn’t too bad!

Tomorrow is Christmas and I’m pretty excited! I think I have an idea of what I’m getting but I can’t be too sure! I also did some last minute Christmas shopping for my family and I beat the crowds so it went well.

Today I am going to purchase my textbooks for next semester. It’s so weird to think that I already finished one semester of college.

That’s all for today! Thanks for visiting and feel free to leave a comment.

This is from the State Fair at the beginning of the semester! We're all holding a fried peanut butter and jelly sandwich! It was delicious!

Big Day Tomorrow!

Tomorrow I will be taking three of my four finals! The pressure is on! I’m very nervous but hopefully I’ll do well on all of them. It’s weird how fast the semester has gone by. I can’t believe I’m already taking finals.

I’m glad the week is almost over because I need a break from all the studying and work! I just want to go home and eat Chipotle FOREVER! It’s my favorite place to eat and if I could, I’d eat it every day.

That’s all for today! Thanks for visiting my blog & feel free to leave a comment!

Getting Into the Christmas Spirit with Donkeys!

The biggest thing on campus now is how everyone is anticipating finals and the donkey. I’ll get to the donkey later.

Finals are in two weeks which actually makes me happy because it means that Christmas break is almost upon us!

I also recently bought the song “Rolling In The Deep” by Adele and I highly recommend it! I’m a big Adele fan so I might be biased but it is one of her better songs!

So the fraternity TKE every year when the students get back from Thanksgiving break plays the song “Dominick the Italian Christmas Donkey” on a continuous loop nonstop. It just so happens to be my favorite Christmas song so I don’t mind! It’s definitely been a topic of discussion in all of my classes today.

That’s all for today! Thanks for visiting my blog and feel free to leave a comment!
