Spring Break Is Over

Much to my dismay, Spring Break 2013 is over. Although I didn’t do too much exciting besides homework and a bit of shopping, I’d much rather lay around my house doing homework than coming back to school and doing homework. But I’m still happy to be back! I actually arrived yesterday just so I could print all the papers I did over break and to get settled in before everyone else and, most importantly, get a good parking spot. I’m very protective over my parking spots so that means more to me than it does to most people.

When I got here yesterday, I finished some of my homework, went to Whole Foods (of course), and to get new pants at H&M. It was just so nice to get out and do something since no one was on campus yet so it was pretty boring just sitting in my room. Thankfully, people are trickling back in today so I can have some kind of human contact!

There are cars in the parking lot! People are here!

Music Thursday

So I missed my usual Music Monday so I thought I’d make a Music Thursday! And there’s not a better way to celebrate my first Music Thursday without highlighting the video of one of my favorite artists: Lana Del Rey. Lana released the new music video to her song “Burning Desire” and of course it’s amazing. But I wouldn’t expect anything less from her.

The video features clips of the new Jaguar F-Type car since Lana has a partnership with the company as their spokesperson. It also features Lana standing on a stage and just singing, which is what I love most about the video. Sure it’s not the most exciting and riveting video, but it’s rare these days that you find a singer that can just stand and sing without all of the frills and whistles.

Unnecessary Amount of Snow

When I woke up this morning to get breakfast, it was snowing. After two of my classes today, it’s still snowing! I guess it’s nice for now to look at but hopefully it stops soon because I plan on driving to IUPUI tomorrow to visit my friend. It just won’t be fun to clean off but I got some new gloves so I’ll manage! :)

My Spanish group has an assignment to use vocab words and put them to the tune of a song. We chose “Bad Romance” and thought we had to perform it today. But, the teacher decided to give us until Tuesday which is good because it gives us more time to practice (It’s hard learning random lyrics to a song in another language)!
