The Washington Nationals Game my class went to was a success! The Nationals beat the Cardinals, and we all learned more about baseball as a result of it. Our class seminar was about Baseball in the District. We also got a lecture about how baseball has transformed throughout history and even used baseball as a metaphor for our lives.
It wasn’t as good as the Yankees game I went to in their new stadium but it was still a good game. I’m glad I’ve gotten to attend a professional game in DC in one of my last weekends here!
Going to the game made me slightly want to start liking baseball so when I get back home, I might start following it now! I won’t make any promises though….

Last weekend, for our last weekend seminar on the History of Baseball in the District, we were able to attend a Washington Nationals Game. Although I have a sworn allegiance to the Yankees, I was still able to enjoy the game. They played the St Louis Cardinals so regardless I wouldn’t have cared if any team lost.
The only previous MLB game I’ve attended was the first home game the Yankees won in their new stadium during the regular season. It was really cool seeing a new stadium and going to a professional game during one of the last weekends of the semester.
The funnest part of the game was seeing how different things connected to some of the historical facts we learned in class. We got to understand why the Nationals came to DC from Canada.
