Magnificent Parade

Yesterday I went to downtown Chicago and attended the Magnificent Mile Lights Festival and I really enjoyed it! I had the secret hope of being on the news but I unfortunately didn’t make an appearance. Maybe next time! The parade/lights show marked the first time that all the Christmas lights in the city were being officially lit up.

There were seemingly millions of people in the streets and I could barely get a good view of the parade! I was tempted to get on someone’s shoulders and pretend they were my parent but decided against it. My favorite balloon was that of Rudolph because, I can’t tell if it was because of the wind or the people holding the strings, he was knocking into the crowd and it was very entertaining.

It looks like it was a fairly epic parade, Andre!

Unfortunately we don’t have anything quite like those where I am so I’m a little envious that you got that close-up experience!

I don’t have time for that kind of stuff now – one of the drawbacks of running your own flight simulator game blog, I suppose. When I have kids though I’ll be making sure they get to as many parades as possible!

Thanks for sharing your pictures and experiences, buddy!
