So far this week, I’ve gotten about 6-8 hours of sleep each night which is a new record for me this semester. I’m not sure how it has happened since I’m as busy as ever but I won’t complain! I even don’t need coffee to keep me awake during the day. Maybe I’ll keep this up!
On The Collegian, we are currently working on a special insert for the first men’s home basketball game. I wrote two women’s basketball stories for the issue and I think it’ll turn out pretty well! The people working on the issue have a lot of cool graphics and even had a photo shoot with the team! I can’t wait to see it! Collegian members will be passing the issue out at the game and there will be a copy inside of each paper in bins around campus!
Here’s a video of the introduction of the basketball team in 2010. Hopefully we’ll make to the championship again this year and win!
For my Sportswriting class I had to go to three Butler sports games and write stories about them. It was definitely really fun! The first game we went to was the men’s basketball game against Northern State. It was definitely a riveting game but ultimately the team lost right at the buzzer!
After this game, there was a joke in our class that we were cursed because at each game our class covered, Butler lost. But, on Saturday, we covered the football game and basketball game and Butler won both! Butler won both games pretty easily so I was excited. It was definitely fun to write about a game that we have won for a change as well!
I also got to go home on Friday to do some laundry and I got the iPhone 4S! I have been having a lot of fun playing around with it and talking to the creepy/interesting virtual assistant, Siri.
Here is the team’s introduction for this year!
I have been an ardent Susan Boyle fan for years so I was happy when her new album “Someone to Watch Over Me” came out on Tuesday. But, after listening to it, I was left disappointed. The songs were boring and there wasn’t any originality! All of the songs were covers and some were not done very well. It is definitely my least favorite of her three albums. I am still waiting for her to do an original song and cover more modern songs!
This is the third year in a row she has released an album so hopefully it can be a yearly thing I can look forward to! It can be like an early Christmas present every year (unless it is a bad album)!! I would love to see her on tour! I saw a commercial for an upcoming TLC special about her so I will try my best to watch it!
Here is an interview with Susan Boyle!
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you probably have heard about Kim Kardashian‘s upcoming divorce. Let me just start by saying it might be the worst thing to happen to America since Rebecca Black.
I was one of the millions who
wasted spent four hours of my life watching her wedding special on E! Though the actual wedding was only 10 minutes of the whole special, it was still entertaining seeing all the arguments and planning of the wedding. Though it was entertaining, I’m kind of mad that I wasted my time only for them to get divorced.
Since I am an ardent Kim fan, I’ll just blame it all on her soon-to-be ex-husband Kris! After watching the wedding special, you could just tell that they weren’t meant to be. They got into arguments all the time and he did not get along with her family. I don’t believe the rumors that it was all for publicity since she’s already the most famous person in America so she wouldn’t need any more fame!
Here’s one of the old commercials for her wedding special! As you can see, there was drama from the beginning!
