Graduate Admission Procedures
To start a graduate application, you need to have previously completed a bachelor's degree and be seeking an advanced degree. Items labeled in red are required fields and must be completed to move on to the next section of the application. Your information will be saved so that you can log in and out of the application until you are ready to submit it. When you are satisfied that your application for admission is complete and accurate, select 'Submit Application' on the menu at the left. Once you submit your application you cannot make changes to it online.

before completing the online application.
You are responsible for presenting your accomplishments. You are
your own best advocate, so please be specific and complete.
Applications will not be processed until all documentation is
received. The university will not accept photo or faxed copies of
any official documents required as part of the application process.
To be considered for Graduate admission, please submit the
following items for evaluation:
- Official transcript from each college or university attended, mailed directly from the issuing institution. The institution must be a regionally accredited college or university and the transcript must indicate the date the bachelors' degree was conferred.
- Personal statement (see program website for specific topic)
- Official test scores (if required by program)
- Additional requirements set by the particular program

Application for Graduate Admission - Non-degree
We look forward to evaluating your completed application to Butler University. Please read the following instructions carefully before completing the online application.

Your information will be saved so that you can log in and out of the application until you are ready to submit it. When you are satisfied that your application for admission is complete and accurate, select 'Submit Application' on the menu at the left. Once you submit your application you cannot make changes to it online.
To be considered for Non-Degree Graduate admission, please submit the following items for evaluation:
- Official transcript from each college or university attended, mailed directly from the issuing institution. The institution must be a regionally accredited college or university and the transcript must indicate the date the bachelors' degree was conferred. International students must hold a degree from an institution recognized by the government or educational ministry within the country.

- If you are applying as a non-degree graduate, the sections labeled Personal, Application, Academic Background (If you are a Butler Graduate, you do not have to request a copy of your transcript) are the only sections you will need to fill out.
- Additional requirements are needed for License Mental Health Counselor Certificate (LMHC) and Alternative Special Education Program including:

- LMHC: Two letters of recommendation (non Butler graduates), graduate transcripts, a resume, and a personal statement addressing how you will continue to infuse the College of Education's Core Values
- Alternative Special Education Program: Two letters of recommendation, a personal statement, and all official college transcripts
