Study Abroad
With over 110 program options in 40 countries, there's a study abroad program for everyone at Butler University. You can also choose to study for a semester, academic year, or summer term. Financial aid may even apply toward the cost of tuition at your study abroad institution. The Center for Global Education will not only help you plan and prepare for your experience, but will also help you assimilate back into campus life when you return.
Two highlights of the study abroad opportunities at Butler:
- Global Adventures in the Liberal Arts (GALA)-This program allows 20 students to spend an entire semester traveling across a continent while taking four Butler core classes taught by a variety of Butler professors. Participants spend one to three weeks in each location and visit course-relevant sites in each city. In 2011, GALA explored Latin America, and in 2010 the group traveled to Western Europe.
- Washington D.C. Semester Internship Program-If traveling abroad isn't your thing, you can still experience life beyond the Butler campus through this semester-long academic and internship program in Washington.
