Cloud Computing
Session 1: Friday, February 21, 2:00-3:30 p.m., JH043
Session 2: Friday, February 28, 3:30-4:30, JH043
Cloud Computing -- what is it and how do I use it?  Whether professional or personal scenarios, many individuals are discovering a greater need to compose, collaborate, and utilize information efficiently and quickly --  anytime, anywhere.  But how do I find the right option?  And what about security?

The February 21 session will put some definition around "cloud computing" (is it personal, private, hybrid, community? what does open source mean?).  We will also explore Google's application store and provide overview to some of the most-used and best-loved tools, as well as cover general information to other popular cloud options.  The February 28 session is an invitation to dive deep into specific applications and provide a tailored experience to the tools in which staff members are most interested.  Both sessions are interactive in nature and, in addition to the laptops on-hand in the room, attendees are encouraged to bring a variety of personal, professional, and mobile devices.

Registrants do not need to attend both sessions, but session 2 is designed to complement session 1. RSVP required - email STEP@butler.edu, indicating which session(s) you plan to attend.

Julianne Miranda (CAT), a certified professional coactive coach, will lead this session. Lunch provided - RSVP required (email STEP@butler.edu).
