Awards and Recognition
In order to best educate our students, we recruit and support
faculty who are practicing researchers, scholars, and artists, all
of whom are dedicated to intellectual self-renewal. Butler faculty
teach by asking students to critically examine their world and
their place in it, and to embrace the role of a liberal arts-based
education as the foundation of their professional and personal
lives. We aim to create in ourselves and in our students thoughtful
engagement, potential fulfilled, and lives lived with meaning and
purpose.
