Lyric Theatre Presents 'H.M.S. Pinafore'

Butler University School of Music's Lyric Theatre presents Gilbert & Sullivan's H.M.S. Pinafore, April 13-15, at the Shortridge Magnet High School auditorium.
Show times are 7 p.m. April 13 and 14, and 3 p.m. April 15. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students and seniors. They will be available at the door. For more information, call (317) 940-9246.
H.M.S. Pinafore, a two-act comic opera that premiered in 1878, takes place aboard a British ship and tells the story of the captain's daughter, Josephine, who must choose between the man she loves, sailor Ralph Rackstraw, and the man her father wants her to marry, Sir Joseph Porter, the first lord of the admiralty.
The cast features Rafael Porto, a junior from Indianapolis, as The Rt. Hon. Sir Joseph Porter, K.C.B., and Dan Wilson, a sophomore from Zionsville, as Captain Corcoran, commander of H.M.S. Pinafore.
Seniors Pete Weldy, from Rossville, Ind., and Myles Pinder, from Culver, Ind., will share the role of Ralph Rackstraw. Lacey Kriston, a junior from Crawfordsville, Ind., and Gina Ceragioli, a sophomore from Flossmoor, Ill., will share the part of Josephine.

Little Buttercup: Emily Mansfield (Indianapolis) and Amanda Fehr (Westfield, Ind.)
The company is directed by Assistant Professor of Voice Tom Studebaker.
