Professional Credentials
I have studied the effects of mammalian herbivores on oldfield succession in New Jersey. I built large exclosures to keep out the herbivores - deer, rabbits, woodchucks and mice. The woody plants responded by growing much faster in the exclosures compared to the controls thereby accelerating the rate of succession.

Professional Experience
I taught a variety of biology courses at several other colleges and universities including Rowan University in New Jersey, Westchester University in Pennsylvania, California State University in California and Moorpark College in California.
